Hi, I’m Angela Bass-Brenner, Founder and President of Top Notch Genealogy and Research Services, based in Evansville, Indiana. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with a focus on U.S. History and a Master’s in Teaching, both from Oakland City University. My passion for history and genealogy began in childhood, inspired by trips to Conner Prairie and my grandmother Doris, who traced our lineage back to the Revolutionary War. Genealogy became my hobby in high school and later, a deeper passion during the pandemic in 2020 when I rediscovered the stories behind my ancestors’ lives. By 2023, I decided to turn my love for genealogy into a full-time business.
After collaborating with SCORE and the Small Business Development Center, Top Notch officially launched in 2024. At Top Notch, we pride ourselves on being Factual, Focused, and Fascinating. We research extensively to create personalized family history books that go beyond dates and names to tell the compelling stories of your ancestors.
